Summer Camp Counsellors can expect to coordinate, conduct, and supervise all recreational activities for children and young teenagers during their stay at the camp. They are responsible for the campers’ well-being and safety, as well as for creating a fun, safe and rewarding environment for them.

Children are sorted by level and age as best as possible. 

Requirements:

• At least 21 years old
• Competent Conversational English (upper-intermediate or higher) 
• Experience working with children’s groups in camp
• Personal interests and skills are welcome
• Must be responsible, dedicated and enjoy working with children
• No criminal record

A degree in Psychology, Education or any of the Arts is preferable but not necessary.

Tasks Summer Camp Counsellors are responsible for:

• Coordinating and scheduling recreational and other types of activities
• Organising children’s free time and activities in English 
• Holding master classes or workshops in English
• Introducing campers to each other and to staff members 
• Explaining and enforcing facility rules and safety procedures 
• Demonstrating the proper use of equipment and supervising the campers’ use thereof.
• Administering first aid when necessary and contacting medical assistance when required
• Answering all questions and inquiries in a direct and polite manner 
• Monitoring campers to ensure their safety, interacting with campers and providing them with encouragement

Conditions:

• You will be fed 5 times a day off the camp menu.
• Accommodation is provided by the company. Counsellors stay in rooms of 3-6 people in the same building as the campers

Specific Terms:

• Counsellors must live in St. Petersburg at the moment
